I’m Lucy, founder of Dog & Goose — though my friends and family love to call me Goose!
Did you know that 20 minutes of sniffing is equal to an hour of walking for a dog? Sniffing is hugely beneficial for a dog’s wellbeing and mental enrichment.
Desiring a change from my hectic Healthcare career and London city living, I decided to start walking and training dogs professionally in 2023.
I wanted to offer something more personal than the average walk. What began with small group walks soon grew into tailored solo walks. Along the way, I developed a deep interest in canine behaviour and expanded my knowledge to support nervous or reactive dogs and their owners.
I’m proud to be a member of The Dog Training School, and I’m currently studying with the Institute of Modern Dog Training (IMDT) — a globally recognised, force-free organisation promoting kind and ethical training methods. I’ve also volunteered with Louise from Puppy School, helping to support puppies with socialisation and obedience training.
At Dog & Goose, my aim is simple: to help dogs live happier, more balanced lives, while giving owners complete peace of mind. Every dog in my care is treated with patience, understanding, and genuine affection.
Now based in Maidenhead, I’ve expanded my services to include Adventure Walks — longer, scenic experiences designed for active dogs who love to explore new places, stretch their legs, and engage their minds. If you have an active, working-breed pup, they might be the perfect fit to join me on an adventure!
